Use the Mac or Linux download. It runs completely locally with no Alacrán account, hosted database, or vendor lock-in.
The initial setup checks your local environment for supported AI CLIs and tools, explaining exactly what is ready.
Choose New company and name your workspace. Alacrán initializes a version-controlled folder structure with definitions, decisions, operational notes, and automated safety gates.
You can also adopt an existing git folder or restore from backup. Everything lives in standard files you can inspect with any editor.
Answer a few plain-language questions or edit definitions/ontology/company.yaml directly. Declare what your company does, your products, team roles, and boundaries so every agent shares one source of truth.
Alacrán enforces a strict rule: agents never invent facts. Unknown details stay marked as <<TODO>> until you confirm them.
Open Connections to attach the services your business uses every day. Bring in read-only chat history across messaging networks, calendars, git repositories, and external context.
Connect only what creates value. Alacrán remains fully functional with local markdown and YAML files alone.

Choose Keep it to apply changes or Discard to reject. Complete revision history is preserved in git.
