Alacrán is designed around local files, direct connections, and no Alacrán account.
Your company context, notes, decisions, and operational records are stored as files in folders on your computer. Alacrán does not require an Alacrán account or upload those folders to an Alacrán-hosted company database.
When you ask an AI a question or connect an external service, relevant information is sent directly from your computer to the provider you selected. That provider may process information under its own privacy policy. Connect only services and information you are comfortable sharing with that provider.
Alacrán uses credentials managed by your operating system or the connected tool where possible. Do not place passwords, API keys, payment details, or other secrets inside your company’s ordinary notes or definitions.
Alacrán does not require behavioral advertising or a hosted user profile. The application may check for available software updates. Requests made by connected AI tools and services are governed by those providers.
You can disconnect a service, stop using an AI provider, move or delete your local company folder, or uninstall Alacrán. Keep backups before deleting files. Removing Alacrán does not automatically delete information held by a third-party provider.
This policy may change as Alacrán develops. Material updates will appear here with a new effective date. Privacy questions can be sent to contact@alacran.app.
